Yes, it’s SpaceX’s game to lose.

They’ve built the infrastructure, won the contracts, cornered launch capacity, and embedded themselves so deeply in U.S. space policy and defense architecture that their position is unmatched.

Boots on the ground of Mars will be a wonderful thing but when? Wasn't we promised 2025?

Is an L5 colony a better investment than a mars colony?

Usually things are a little more complicated than they appear at first sight, Mars being no exception. Recently SpaceX started to build the hardware to refuel Starship in orbit - big step forward. Mars has all the resources to create a self sustaining colony so a good place to start. However, an L5 colony should follow in an organic process of space development.https://chrisprophet.substack.com/p/spacex-space-station-9cd
